Great gym great people. My cousin switched to this gym a couple months ago and his game has dramatically improved since! Head coach Mike teaches a great program and everyone there rolls very respectfully. If you're thinking about starting bjj or any type of striking, this is a great place to get started. If you're experienced, this place is loaded with great training partners of all levels. Best training in the area!

Gorilla BJJ is a breath of fresh air if you're looking for a jiu-jitsu gym that breaks away from traditional formalities. Forget the bowing and the formal titles like "Professor" or "Sensei" here, they keep it wonderfully simple: technique, training, and fun! The vibe at Gorila BJJ genuinely feels like a group of friends just hanging out and training together. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making it super easy to jump in, even if you're just visiting. And speaking of visits, cross training here is fantastic, with absolutely no shame or weird vibes about dropping in from another gym. To top it all off, the gym is spotlessly clean at all times, which is always a huge plus. If you want high quality training in a laid-back, supportive, and fun environment, Gorila BJJ is definitely the place to be!

Gorilla Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is an incredible place to train! The environment is extremely positive, and the culture is welcoming and supportive. Professor Mike is a fantastic instructor--patient, knowledgeable, and truly skilled at teaching. He breaks things down in a way that makes learning both effective and enjoyable. On top of that, the gym is spotless, which is a huge plus. You never have to worry about hygiene issues--just come in, train hard, and leave feeling great. Highly recommend! No knuckleheads, which is refreshing.

Love training here. The owner Mike is an amazing instructor. He's also a genuinely caring person who cares about everybody Who trains here. All of the instructors are top-notch. I learned something new here every single time I arrive. one of my favorite parts of the week is when I get to come to class.

I began training at Gorilla in 2017. Mike Wilson, the owner/operator, instructs nearly every class, is a HIGHLY skilled, passionate, smart, and kind teacher. Mike makes time for ANYONE with the heart to walk in the front door and train. This is not a business or job for Mike, it's his passion and unparalleled commitment to teaching. Mike, as well as every instructor at Gorilla, takes time with their students, teaches in great detail and backs up everything he teaches with real world application. Not only does Mike teach nearly every class, seven days a week, Mike will almost always stay late with students who want to work more on their craft, roll another few rounds or even just stick around to have good conversation with the group! Not only is Mike and the team at Gorilla committed to the students and the craft. Mike has ALWAYS accommodated my requests to teach BJJ seminars to the community that I work in. Mike would never take a dollar, he truly loves what he does and that passion rubs off. A superb environment to learn new fighting skills, whether it's MMA, Muay Thai, BJJ Gi, or No Gi, or BJJ Competition.. AND Some more! ++ the knowledge is here! Proven by actions! and we all already know that knowledge is power! Professor Mike Wilson is a great professor and a highly skilled and knowledgeable instructor!!! Setting the new bar for high standards! In fact, Every instructor I've ever had in this gym is beyond amazing. Always dynamic and learning new things. Seminars are always on point! The amount of arsenals and ammunition (fighting knowledge) under Mike's belt is beyond amazing, and one can only hope some of it rubs on to you.. from which he has no problem teaching you any of his techniques. The Gym is top quality! Not only in its cleanliness thanks to Professor Mike Wilson who cleans the whole gym top to bottom DAILY, but also its Graffiti and art on the walls are phenomenal, with beautiful mats and protected walls and beams, and just protection all around. Also, another HUGE PLUS is that Rolling with partners is always safe! 99% of people here roll with consideration for their partners.... I Don't know the other 1% lol. But here, its all about improving technique! applying it gracefully without hurting your partner is THE Biggest plus you'll ever find in a BJJ Gym. After all, joining a BJJ gym is like joining family.. you gotta choose the right pack of wolves to roll with! or in this case, the right troop of gorillas! haha By far the best gym in the area! I drive and commute about 40mins to get to class... even though there are plenty of other gyms closer to where I live... that's how much I like this gym, the instructors, the environment, and the sparring partners. The instructors Mike and Kaitlyn know how to keep a clean and awesome space to train. They are knowledgeable when it comes to their craft and create a great space for learning. Great hours to train at any time during the week, great people to train with. They also offer their Muay Thai program which is great to round out your game with striking instructors Carlos and Thai as they welcome all levels for their classes. So if you're looking to begin your journey in martial arts Gorilla BJJ is a great place to start.

The environment in the gym is amazing with great people. I've been doing martial arts for the last 6 years and have been going here for 2 years. That being said these are some of the best coaches I've been with, they are very kind and knowledgeable. The Bjj, Muy Thai and mma classes are all incredible.
