We are back with work from home. All 7 of us are childhood friends decided to join the gym and take memberships for 1 year since they were running some offers and were too very vocal about it. But I must say that, The most poorly managed and uncultured gym in town. Today they're supposedly celebrating their 3rd foundation day, but their behavior is anything but celebratory. Despite sending out mass invitations via text, they're clearly treating non-package members like second-class citizens. Even long-time members with active monthly subscriptions were ignored--no food packets, no basic courtesy--just because they didn't opt for a long-term package. I even saw an older woman with a valid monthly membership being excluded simply because she couldn't commit to a 6-month plan due to travel. She is supposed to move to USA for 6 months with her daughter who is moving abroad alone. Honestly, if you only respect money and packages, why bother inviting everyone in the first place? I've known that aunty for a while. I saw her walking out of the event area and stopped to talk to her--only then I found out what had happened. She had actually referred seven of us who were planning to join the gym today with 12-month memberships. Aunty is the one who told 7 of us to go and join the gym because the ambiance seemed good. 7 people is a huge number for them which they lost. Nothing else. After hearing her experience, we walked away immediately and signed up at another gym in Konnagar instead. Honestly, feels like we dodged multiple bullets.
