Swami Vivekananda Yoga & Reiki School Rishikesh.The Best Yoga Teacher Training School in Rishikesh

At first, I was in doubt about the negative reviews, but I went to try out their yoga beginner class anyways and ended up committing to 6 classes, then 10 classes and added my last 2 before leaving Rishikesh. I started out with Witness yoga and thought it was grounding but I have to learn from the root of all yoga which was Hatha, and I came across SV yoga school that fits to my schedule that day, as well as the budget just in case it works out. I couldn't believe how intense the yoga for beginners session was. I don't think it really is for beginners, but since I had been doing yoga occasionally before, I'm familiar with sun salutation and the like, but on that session I had various stretches and warm ups and asanas that made my body sore that night. I was dumbfounded by how they introduced hatha for beginners which made my previous witness yoga felt like coddled yoga. My teachers, yogi Raghuv and yogi Pravesh were the nicest, skilled, most flexible, wisest, wonderful yogis I've met in Rishikesh. I felt so privileged being their student in the 8days I've spent with them. They never thought of money, or your status, gender, age--they will teach you the proper yoga according to your capabilities and work from there. I get one on one teacher-student approach in every moment regardless there's another student/s. And I appreciate the sincerity, effort, dedication and generosity in sharing their skills--be it Asana, breathwork, meditation...I even get a lot of time talking about life, yoga philosophy, other yoga practices like pranayama and kundalini discussions. My time with them was really wonderful, I wouldn't forget it. I even brought my boyfriend and loved his session he wished he could've skipped work to join again. He never had yoga before and is a runner. But with this experience, he now has a great impression of yoga. I can't express more how going to this school made my stay in Rishikesh worthwhile. I always look forward waking up 6am for my classes. Before I left, they reviewed what I learned, reminded me what to do in case I find difficulty in my flexibility and breathwork like a farewell gift or a send-off token of advice teachers would do to their student. The only thing I hope is I can come back in the future, though it's funny that Raghuv would say if ever I get sad or heartbroken come back to Rishikesh (or to their yoga school, for sure it's what he means lol--it's quite thoughtful). I would love to master yoga under their supervision. Intensive and accurate. No gimmicks, just pure practice of real yoga. We were visiting Rishikesh in July and wanted to take a few beginner yoga and meditation lessons during our stay. While exploring our options, we came across Swami Vivekananda Yoga and met Mohan, who quickly made a lasting impression on us. We attended daily morning and afternoon sessions and truly enjoyed every moment. Mohan is both inspiring and deeply knowledgeable, not just in the physical aspects of yoga, but also in its spiritual and philosophical roots. His calm, grounded presence made it easy for us as beginners to feel comfortable, supported, and motivated. One of the best parts of the experience was how balanced and approachable the classes were. The environment was peaceful, authentic, and welcoming, which helped us connect with the practice in a meaningful way. Thanks to our time at Swami Vivekananda Yoga, we've continued practicing yoga even after returning home. This experience was a highlight of our trip and we're grateful for the guidance and inspiration we received from Mohan. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rishikesh.

I practiced at this school with my friend, with three different teachers, and each of them guided us through an authentic, physical, and spiritual practice. I was looking for yoga schools in Rishikesh for yoga teacher training course. At the same time my friend told me about Swami Vivekananda Yoga Teacher Training School and I contacted the school. From the first day itself, my energy inspired me to take a course in this school and I applied for the teacher training course for two hundred hours. I was already practicing yoga physically. But by joining this course, I got a deep study of the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of yoga. Under the guidance of Yogi Mohan ji, I got a lot of deep knowledge through different professional yoga teachers. Philosophy and Pranayam were my most interesting subjects. The school environment, accommodation and food are all very good. All the staff members are very helpful. I will join for some other big course in future. And I recommend all those people who want to know the real parts of yoga. Namaste

There is a lot of options for drop in classes which is great and the price is reasonable too. I did a nice pranayama class here. The space is very relaxing and the instructor was very good and friendly too. I wish I found it earlier in my trip and I would have gone to more classes.

Took part in a beginner's class this morning. We are true beginners, never having done a single class before, plus we are in our late fifties. Thoroughly enjoyed the class, and never felt out of my depth. It was nice, peaceful and calming but don't let that make you think you aren't working! The instructor was good and explained everything. If we can walk, we will return!

We loved our experience with Mohan!! I am relatively new to yoga so I was a little nervous going into it, but with Mohan's guidance it ended up being a breeze! The drop in classes were ideal for us, booking 8 classes over 4 days. We opted for the 10:15am Yoga For Beginners to help me learn more or the basics, and then the 4pm Classical Hatha Yoga. By the last day, I was flowing through the poses and even able to complete the head stand by myself :) Can't recommend this place enough!
