Rishikesh Yoga Sthal

I had a great month practicing at this yoga studio. It's a small place with two teachers that will give you individualized follow-up and at the same time teach up traditional hatha and ashtanga yoga. I will for sure come back next time I am in Rishikesh!!

Rishikesh Yoga Sthal is a divine and spiritual gem, nestled at the foothills of the Himalayan mountains in Laxman Jhula. If you are looking for an authentic connection to yoga at a fundamental level and if you're keen on spiritual development and self-actualizing, this is your place. Humanshu works extremely hard and takes his time and provides optimal attention to his guests. This is truly the place to be if you want an intimate yoga experience and not the over-the-top commercial Yoga teacher training experience you seen all over your timeline. Modghul, the instructor conducts an amazing hatha and astangha class and the two of them are wonderful souls to be around. This yoga facility is the real deal and I encourage anyone keen on transformation to attend here. This place has changed my life for the better! I had a wonderful time in the past two weeks. I went twice a day to Himanshu's class. In the morning to hatha practice to help me waking up my body and then to ashtanga in the afternoon for developing strength and coordination. Himanshu, despite his age, is a wise and knowledgeable teacher. He reminded me how important it is to smile during practice, it just helps to stay present and pleasant. I will definitely return! Much recommended!!!

The yoga teacher and owner acts more like a street vendor pushing to buy more yoga classes. And gets anxious and nervous if you ask 2 or more questions about how correctly to do asana or breath. Also he lied he has yoga philosophy class, but later came out he has no teacher. It seems he was really good on doing asanas himself, but did not pay much attention whether the students do it. I had one day drop in. And i am glad i did not buy 7 days, althoug i was pushed by the owner to do. I tried 2 more different yoga classes, both of them were much more nicer than here. Overall i would not recommened.

Fantastic! This was my first time practicing Yoga & meditation. Himanshu is a great instructor. I highly recommend and will certainly come back next time i am in Rishikesh
