Rishikesh Yog Temple

I had the most refreshing time during my 200HR YTT. The teachers, the food, the location, the other students, all came together to form exceptional conditions for learning. The lodging is quite simple and bare bones, but you don't spend that much time in your room anyways. If you come during the summer make sure to bring an umbrella or rain poncho (monsoon weather). Also, there will be bugs, and it will be hot. Finally, I'd recommend bringing a sweat towel and sweat resistant mat! They have some to use, but nothing beats your mat from home. Thank you to the team for making my experience so amazing. I wish I could do it all over again!

Had an amazing experience of the 200 hours yoga teacher training course with Rishikesh Yog Temple. The way they treated me plus the way they teach is on the top. Each and every day of the course takes me towards the best. I know how I joined the course as a person who was completely unaware of yoga and its elements, and the completion of the course brings so much change in me. I become a confident yoga teacher in the end. Today, I am in a state where I can teach someone with confidence and proficiency. Thank you for this exciting journey.

What a experience! If you are thinking to go to Rishikesh for a 300YTT I would definitely go for this place. The teachers are amazing, the staff is crazy helpful and lovely and the accommodation is very comfortable and convenient to get to know Rishikesh/Tapovan. They days are packed of interesting theory and practical classes that will get you to connect and discover the yoga practice from its origins. If you have any doubts text them, they will answer you and see for yourself how amazing they are. I hope to be back soon, namaste!

I would like to say how much I enjoy my yoga practice at Rishikesh Yog temple. The school has such a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and a wonderful group of instructors that do nurture it. I feel fortunate to practice at such a welcoming school and will be forever grateful for the knowledge I have gained! I must say your instructors are very thorough with their approach and explanation of the poses and I enjoy them and their humor as well! Before I started the course I was worried I wouldn't be advanced enough in my practice to do teacher training, Now I can confidently say that it doesn't matter how experienced or advanced you are because the teachers patiently focused on every student, and made us feel comfortable. Being it any subject theory or practice it was great learning sessions with the teachers. We had an excursion to Kunjapuri temple It is a very beautiful location. Loved the view from here and especially the Sunrise! If you are fond of trekking then make sure to do Rishikesh's Sunrise trek. I feel like this temple is one of the hidden gems of Uttarakhand. And then we had a beautiful beach yoga session, it was so peaceful the riverside and the breeze, and we played some games besides yoga which was quite entertaining. Another thing that made this journey of mine very special was that every member of the staff was always helpful, no matter what and when they were always there to support and help us. I would highly recommend Rishikesh yog temple to everyone who wants to explore yoga and Rishikesh and wants to make their journey simple yet beautiful.

I have just completed my 200hr yoga teacher training at Rishikesh Yog Temple. My initial worry of not being "good enough" at yoga quickly disappeared once I got to class and met all the teachers. Every teacher here is knowledgeable, patient, and understanding, but still know how to push me to improve my personal practice. I stayed in a private room where I had a bathroom and balcony and was comfortable to rest in between classes. Everything you could need outside of the school is within walking distance which was very convenient. I appreciated that the school hosted excursions for us so we could immerse ourselves in the culture of Rishikesh. We did beach yoga, meditation on the Ganga river, sunrise hike to temple in the mountains, etc. Everyone I came across here has treated me with kindness, and I will leave here with many memories and friendships. I would recommend Rishikesh Yog Temple to anyone who would like to develop their practice and/or become a certified yoga teacher. Thank you and hope to be back again.

My time here on this 5 day retreat has been nothing short of amazing. The staff and specifically our main point of contact, Sahil and his wife, Gina, went above and beyond to give us the absolute best experience. We practiced Pranayama breathing and Asana Hatha yoga each day, as well as philosophy to learn more about the meaning and reason behind yoga and where it comes from. We were fed very well everyday and went on excursions to the temple and to mama Gange river. Added bonuses were sound healing sessions, chakra alignment, massage and dynamic meditation. This was the spiritual, Indian experience I was hoping to experience and far exceeded every expectation. We are already trying to figure out how to come back! Don't sleep on this!! It's an experience you will never forget!!

I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Rishikesh Yog Temple one month ago. I think the best way to describe how great my experience was is to simply say, that i stayed for another month and didn't even want to leave after that. Before I started the course I was worried I wouldn't be advanced enough in my practice to do a teacher training and to keep up with all the other students. Now I can confidently say it doesn't matter how experienced or advanced you are because the teachers patiently focus on every single students needs. Thanks to these amazing teachers I made incredible progress and so did all the other students in my batch. This doesn't only apply for the physical (asana) classes but also for everything I learned about the yoga philosophy, anatomy, pranayama, meditation and alignment. Every now and then we also went on excursions and they were incredible! Especially the trip to the Kunjapuri Temple, where we got to see the sunrise. Another thing that made this school and my experience very special was, that every member of staff was always very helpful when we had problems or questions etc., no matter what we needed. I would highly recommend this YTTC to everyone who wants to become a great yoga teacher or to learn a lot about yoga and take their practice to the next level, but also wants to experience and explore Rishikesh and its culture, eat great food, meet new people, make friends and explore themselves. Rishikesh Yog Temple has the full package for you! I myself will definitely come back to do the 300 hour TTC and I couldn't be more excited!

During the month of February my husband and I attended the 200 Hours course. It was a very interesting experience. We both enjoyed our Ashtanga classes, Philosophy classes and anatomy classes. The teachers were amazing,we learnt so much and have a much better understanding about yoga. My husband just came to support me but is now a lot more interested in Yoga. We both look forward to continuing our Yoga journey now. Before this course I had done a 200 hour TTC course in Bali a year earlier as a total beginner and to be completely honest Rishikesh Yogtemple course was much more informative and the teachers were more helpful, especially the Ashtanga teacher, even though I am still not advanced I was able to complete the primary series with the help of Deepa. The school excursions were definitely a highlight of our experience in India. Although the name says 200 YTTC ,I felt this is a great Yoga improvers course.The teachers were very professional, patient and helpful. My contact person who responded to my emails and WhatsApp messages was absolutely amazing, also responsive and helpful. We both would have liked a bit more explanation of the opening and closing ceremony,if we understood more about the rituals in the opening and closing ceremony it definitely would have made it more meaningful. Otherwise the staff did everything they could to assist us with any enquiry. A special thank you to Monty in the kitchen who did his best to cater for us and Praveen who took care of us,always with a smile.
