Equipment & Safety:
The gym has no proper squat rack, no decline bench, and incline bench is locally built on wrong angle that can risk injury. The chest fly and rowing setups are faulty and hit the wrong muscles. Out of three treadmills, only one is working and it stops abruptly at speed 7, which is dangerous. When I highlighted this, the trainer simply said, "Don't run, just walk." There are also very few leg machines, and overall equipment for compound lifts is missing.
Trainer:
The trainer is arrogant, dismissive of feedback, and completely unprofessional. He knows nothing about powerlifting, bodybuilding, or even basic lifting form. He misguides people, discourages proper strength training, and his only solution is to "DO MORE REPS," which is not suitable for everyone especially those with knee or joint injuries. For squats, he suggested doing dumbbell squats with 30 kg max dumbbells, which is useless for serious lifters who squats more than 100kgs.
For deadlifts, even though I was not dropping the weight, he discouraged just because of the normal sound made when setting down 100 kg. That's not how a professional gym should operate.
Other Issues:
The gym is on the second floor with no safe railings on the stairs. The building itself is still under construction, there's no proper cleaning, and there is no AC.
Conclusion:
If you're over 40 or a beginner, only looking for light workouts, and don't care about compound lifts, this gym is best for you. But for anyone interested in proper strength training, powerlifting, or even safe functional training, this gym is not the right choice.
