I practise at Awhi as the studio offers a great range of yoga classes from hot to yin and vinyasa. In addition, Awhi also organises alternative workshops in sound healing, meditation (Loughlan does great sessions) to self-help classes which I find refreshing as an experienced practitioner- the trauma workshops with Dr Cherie is phenomenal! Yoga is not just a healthy workout but it is also a practise of spiritual self preservation- so it's great to see these classes are an option. The teachers are very nice and the students are friendly. It's always a lovely vibe coming into the space. There is definitely a loyal following of regular practitioners from those that visit during their lunch break or after work, to those that come for their weekend practise. Classes are designed for beginners to intermediate yogis and are practised by young and old as well as families :) They provide facilities like showers, change room, cubby hole style storage, a chill out space and hot tea. I would highly recommend!

So far have been to 3 sessions, as a beginner, with a different instructor each time. Each has been as memorable as the last and have connected with every instructor. Highly recommend!
On a short visit to Wellington, I signed up for two Yin classes at AWHI Yoga & Wellbeing. Both classes were led by knowledgable instructors who imparted wisdom, kindness and a sense of calm. After traveling for quite a while, my body and mind were completely rejuvenated. Thank you to Glen and Tom for leading such beautiful classes.
AWHI Yoga & Wellbeing is an incredible studio with a warm, welcoming vibe. The instructors are knowledgeable and supportive, making every class feel both grounding and uplifting. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, there's something for everyone. A truly special place to move, breathe, and recharge. Highly recommend!
This studio is lovely, had a great class with Tom. Gorgeous quiet studio and a very relaxing and thoughtful class
Awhi is incredible! It's everything I need in a class based practice. The space is beautiful and welcoming, the teachers are amazing, and the classes themselves allow me to access the spiritual part of yoga as well as all the physical benefits. I love the way the teachers offer and encourage modifications to suit all levels, and there is sense of taking what you need from the class rather than 'hitting the pose'. My practice is expanding and it helps my chronic pain a lot. I only wish it was a little more in my price range, although they offer a great new student deal for the first month. I highly recommend this studio is it is available to you.
I'm returning to yoga and exercise generally being post-partum and I'm really enjoying my experience with Awhi Yoga & Wellbeing so far. The instructors are warm, fantastic communicators and great at teaching to all levels. I've felt welcomed each time I've come into the studio (which is beautiful, by the way), and have loved the variety of classes on offer. I love the fact that you can book classes ahead of schedule on the Awhi app.
Such an incredible atmosphere at Awhi. You walk in and feel like you're transported to a peaceful world. I attended Yin as my first class and have found myself eager to keep showing up to the space and bring more of myself each time. The instructors are so wonderful. Every class I've taken has given many options for those wanting to be more advanced and those who are just learning. It's an extremely accepting place. They offer a beautiful range of classes too, each day. The energy is unbeatable. My new safe space. If you're new to yoga or been practicing for a long time, I'd highly recommend Awhi.
