I trained with Dwayne at TSquared from around April 2024 to August 2025 and would highly recommend him as a personal trainer.
I came from a mostly running and cardio background and Dwayne really helped me to build up confidence in lifting and strength-based exercises. I saw gradual incremental improvements each week until I started lifting weights I never would have expected having always thought of myself as a "skinny" guy. The muscle and definition I gained under Dwayne's guidance helped me build confidence which actually extended into other areas of my life.
Dwayne is driven to achieve results for his clients but in a friendly and approachable way. He was always available on whatsapp with advice and nutrition tips and, apart from anything else, is a really nice guy.
I started training with Nick Langton in January of this year, and it's been one of the best decisions I've made for my health and fitness. After completing my initial 24-session 1-on-1 package, I transitioned to 2-on-1 sessions with my friend Jesslyn and I'm glad we did.
Nick's a class act & a solid trainer. really takes the time needed to understand both of our goals, strengths & areas to improve. The sessions are always challenging but never over the top or intimidating, and he knows exactly how to keep it fun too. I've seen major improvements in my strength, form, and overall confidence in the gym even though I'd already had decent gym experience before coming to T2
Srsly can't recommend Nick enough. He's knowledgeable, supportive, charming and genuinely cares about his clients' success :)
I started training with Dwyane, my Tsq trainer, about a year ago, just a couple of months postpartum. I've always enjoyed lifting weights but was very injury-prone and needed proper guidance. Over this year, I've lost 6kg slowly and steadily -- but more importantly, I've gained back my confidence in the gym, completely injury-free.
He puts a strong emphasis on form, gives practical nutrition advice, and shares no-nonsense truths about the importance of consistency. He leads by example -- his own physique, discipline, and mindset are incredibly motivating. At the same time, he's gentle, pleasant, and instantly makes you feel comfortable. He's highly knowledgeable and very understanding of my life stage and stresses as a new mother, always meeting me where I'm at.
Training with him has truly been a great experience. Tsquared as a gym also makes it even better -- great location, quality machines, and friendly staff. I always look forward to my sessions
I started training with Josh 1.5 years ago, he is my 3rd personal trainer and 1st from T-square. He helped me regained my momentum and confidence in training after a surgery and always encouraging and gently motivating me to do better. He is also a knowledgeable and helpful chap and even though he may not have all the answers to your questions, you can trust him to find out for you.
I have been training with Nick for a year now and he has been brilliant at getting me back into my fitness journey. He has tailored our sessions when I have been recovering from a knee injury. He pushes we each session which is what you want with a PT and giving valuable advice on how to continue my exercise routine outside of the sessions. It's the small details that Nick highlights during each exercise and tailoring to my needs that has bought my confidence back in exercising in the gym.
I've been with Tsq Lab for the last six months and it's far exceeded my expectations. I've found a facility and trainer that integrates seamlessly into my schedule. I was perfectly paired with expert coach Nick Langton and couldn't have found a better fit. He clearly lives their motto...understand client first then craft a plan that fits. For each he is fully armed with a well defined plan, including knowledge and insights about how the body and muscles work...correct form to prevent injury...no rushing of reps so I optimize results... but most of all his witty banter makes the time fly by. Workouts are no longer a chore...it's exciting to challenge the body...understand what's working...and see n feel the results. TSQUARED ROCKS...THX NICK.L for making a difference
I've started training with Victor in mid-June at 65kg, and dropped 13kg within 4 months. More importantly, I have gained confidence, strength, and a whole new mindset.
Victor has been very responsive and knowledgeable -- from workouts and nutrition to managing small injuries -- always patient, encouraging and listens without judgement. He takes time to look through menus when I'm eating out and give suggestions, which helps me stay consistent and make better choices.
My recent trip to Japan showed me how far I've come. Managed to carry my 2-year-old (13kg) with a 4kg backpack around and even up flights of stairs to a shrine, without feeling strained. That's when I realised how much stronger I've become.
If you'd told me a year ago that I'd transform this much, I'd have said "no way!" This journey has truly changed my lifestyle in a sustainable way, and I'm so grateful for Victor's guidance. Now you know where and who to look for, to be a better version of yourself.
Metabolism slows down post 40.
I was lucky, with the way I eat- typical Singaporean lapping up buffets, laksa, char kuay teow, bobo Cha cha... - my weight stayed unmoved at 65kg for more than 30 years.
However since I stopped work 2 years ago, it had climbed slowly but surely plus I have been travelling every month. Savouring local delights with every trip. A year ago I went on intermittent fasting but no kg was lost.
Deciding that I need to take a hold of my physical well being, I scheduled a consultation with TSquared Lab.
A check on their webpage shows many who commented here are mostly in their 40s or 50s, so with me at 65 - would I be over the hill in trying to build muscles?
Determined to get something going, I signed up for 32 sessions. I was skeptical initially and the first few months were tough as I could get probably only 2 sessions a month (due to travels) to work out with Lex. Tough mentally because I did not make any changes to my diet nor routine. I could not see my weight going down even half a kg.
Lex was patient and kept track of my food intake ( I was sending him photos of my meals). He coax me with suggestions, comments on the type or portion of my meals. Suggesting less carbs and replace with more protein.
Knowing I walk a lot in my travels and had knee pains; he focused exercises for my legs - working on the hamstrings, femoris, tibialis, lateralis. I am also learning new vocabulary!
I try to keep up the daily 10K steps which was a struggle initially but Lex reminded that it's ok to have rest days just like we have weekends. "Listen to your body" - these words were so helpful.
Walking 12-18km is no longer painful - no ache or pain even the next morning!
Each workout session seems to get tougher and we had an agreement that he will not tell me the weight challenge till after the exercise. I can feel it getting heavier but his encouragement during the workout pushed me to overcome any mental fear I had.
Many times I lose focus during training and let the weight take the better of me but Lex had now better observation of me and would call out to me to stay focus.
Eventually after my return from US in June, I noticed subtle changes with my body. My weight is now 62.5kg - down from 67kg. I had fat loss of 3% plus I have build up muscle mass.
My leg press improved gradually from 80kg to now 120kg. Each lift and each crunch is no longer disheartening. I feel very motivated and look forward to my workout sessions with Lex.
Just as he said : if you do not feel any ache the day after each session, then I am not doing you justice.
So in summary, Lex through TSquared Lab had taught me that fitness and muscles can be conquered at my age - slowly but surely!
