This gym is WORLD CLASS
The equipment is thoroughly curated and maintained for your ultimate performance.
Whether it is body transformation for a working adult or building longevity for an elderly, this is the space for you.
Cannot believe such a gym exists in Singapore
If this location is inconvenient for you, Strength Masters has another branch at Bras Basah / Bugis.
P.S. If you are looking for a PT for your loved ones, I would recommend Kairos Performance.
Just wanted to drop a quick note about this little gym, it's honestly a hidden gem! The vibe here is super friendly and laid-back, and you can really feel that it's run with a lot of heart. The equipment is solid and never too crowded, which makes every workout a breeze. The owners are always welcoming and happy to help out. Love supporting a local spot like this, it feels way more personal than the big chain gyms. Highly recommend if you're looking for a chill place to get your sweat on.
My gymbro friends are envious that I go to this gym and that it's so close to my place. Bodybuilder paradise with world class equipment and dumbbells that weigh heavier than an average sized person. Very friendly owners and a strong community of people passionate about fitness and health. I've made a few friends since I joined a year ago, managed to lose a bit of weight according to how loose my pants feel, and feel amazing. Doesn't feel crowded and everyone is happy to share equipment.
Based on my singular experience, I would've given it 2 stars but I think I'll be doing a disservice from coming in at the worst possible timing (~7pm).
The good:
+ Top-notch equipment for body building. There
were many machines that can be safely taken to failure unlike other gyms such as chest supported back machines, incline bench press, and hack squats
+ Despite the crowd (and I mean an almost intimidating lot), I could plan around my exercises without having to share equipment due to the sheer amount of good machines, while not compromising on training quality
The bad:
- Could be just a one-off bad experience, but the single-entry system is outdated. There were no staff around to help assist me in, and I was stuck outside for ~5 minutes. The system prompts you to stand beside the face recognition machine, and granted systems do fail, but without any staff around, I only managed to go in while someone was going out, which made me like I'm doing something wrong
- Don't expect to do any powerlifting or traditional barbell trainings here. Despite the size, there were only 2 available barbell areas (for non-members). Even then, benches for that area were not available as it was taken by the bags of those who were doing strength training. I did not feel like asking for the bench despite being a naturally friendly person myself, more on that later.
The ugly:
- Despite being a seasoned gym goer, this gym felt very unfriendly (might be just my bad one-off experience, but I still got to put it out here). All of the experiences starting from entry to finding equipment made me feel like I was not welcomed here. This feeling was exacerbated by the crazy amounts of people filming (~30%) which I felt like I was actively judged (of course nobody actually cares, but it just made the vibe for working out not great).
All in all, this gym is great from a technical perspective and possibly one of the best if you can come in when there's nobody around, but if I were a newbie, I would actively avoid it.
I was introduced to this gym by a friend. Admittedly it's not near where I stay, but the equipment alone is worth the commute. And now with the expanded set up, I've converted from their previous membership offering of Weekend access to a full membership! The process was fuss free, and their responsiveness via WhatsApp is outstanding. The staff manning the gym are all so welcoming and it's conducive to building a healthy community of gym enthusiasts. Highly recommend everyone to at least give it a try!
Needless to say, this gym is the reason we came to Singapore. Friendly people, professional environment, top notch equipment
Absolutely top-notch gym! The equipment is clean and well-maintained, with a wide range of machines and free weights for every workout need. The atmosphere is motivating, and the staff is knowledgeable and welcoming. There's plenty of space, so no waiting for machines, even during peak hours. Great place to focus on your goals--highly recommend for anyone serious about fitness!
I joined this gym in April, and I wanted to share some observations for anyone considering membership. Unfortunately, there are some recurring issues that have affected my experience.
This is the only gym I've been a member of that doesn't provide basic amenities like bath soap, and there are no bins anywhere in the gym, which is inconvenient. The issue of inconsistent hot water has been particularly frustrating--even after raising this concern three times, it hasn't been resolved. Hot water is only available for a short time early in the morning.
Another challenge is the shower setup. All three showers are often locked, with one reserved for females only, which limits access and creates inconvenience.
The cleaning staff, while likely doing their best, could benefit from better training or clearer guidelines. For example, one cleaner locked herself in the female bathroom and took the keys to the unisex toilets, leaving members without access to any facilities. Another time, cleaning supplies were left spread across the female bathroom bench, making the space unusable for members.
Hygiene is another concern. For over a week now, there has been little to no hand soap in the female bathroom. These small but important details suggest a lack of attention to the gym's upkeep.
I've tried to provide feedback directly to management, but the issues remain unresolved. For anyone thinking about joining, I recommend carefully considering these factors beforehand.
