We have been visiting this hotel since 2022.The rooms, ambience, staff, service, hospitality, food(quality and quantity) are great. We haven't found any cons till date. We always enjoy a very comfortable stay here. The front sea facing premium rooms are awesome providing wonderful views along with private balcony.
This hotel has exceeded all my expectations in terms of quality of rooms, view from hotel, promt service, staff behavior. I would recommend this hotel if you want to spend a great holiday in a quiter part of Puri beach. What impresses the most is their service. Starting from reception staffs to hotel boys and cleaning staffs. All are so courteous and helpfull. Food is also very good, has a huge variety in breakfast buffet. If you chose this hotel you will not be disappointed.
Our stay at The Bay Suites, Puri was truly exceptional! The location is ideal, close to the beach and main attractions, and the hotel itself is clean, spacious, and very well maintained. The staff, especially at the front office, was fantastic--polite, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, and their prompt support made our stay even more comfortable. We recently had a 3-day stay at The Bay Suites with four families. We chose this property after watching videos on Instagram, mainly attracted by its beautiful sea view, location, and the rooftop swimming pool. Before confirming, we did come across some negative reviews regarding cleanliness and seepage, but after discussing these concerns with the Manager, we were assured that the property had been renovated and those issues had been resolved. Based on that assurance, we went ahead with our booking. Our experience turned out to be a mixed one, with several positives and some areas that definitely need improvement. Positives: 1. Excellent Location: Perfectly situated on Marine Drive Road--only 10 minutes from Swargadwar Market and 5 minutes from the Lighthouse. 2. Supportive Staff: The team was helpful and tried their best to cater to our needs. 3. Delicious Food: The highlight of our stay! Every member of our group appreciated the taste and quality of the food. 4. Spacious Rooms: The rooms are large, well-equipped with modern amenities, and offer a pleasant sea view. 5. Rooftop Swimming Pool: A great feature of the property with a beautiful view. 6. Value for Money: Fairly priced overall, though the food rates are slightly on the higher side compared to the local market. Areas of Improvement: While the property has good potential, maintenance, hygiene, and housekeeping standards need serious attention. 1. Elevator Hygiene: The lift had a strong unpleasant odor throughout our stay. It was uncomfortable, especially for children. 2. Restaurant Cleanliness: The restaurant washroom was unclean with broken fittings, and the passageway leading to it was not well-maintained. 3. Housekeeping Practices: Used towels and bedsheets were often left in the open corridor for hours, creating an unhygienic impression and unpleasant smell. 4. Room Washroom Maintenance: Leakage from the WC caused continuous wet flooring throughout the day. 5. Pool Cleanliness: The rooftop pool, though attractive, was not cleaned properly -- we noticed sand, insects, and debris floating around. 6. Managerial Response: When we shared our feedback with the Manager, the response was rather indifferent, which was disappointing. Overall Impression: The Bay Suites has a lot of potential given its location, spacious rooms, and great food. However, the property urgently needs better maintenance, hygiene practices, and proactive management to deliver a truly satisfying guest experience. With a few improvements, this could easily become one of the preferred stays in the area.
I visited this hotel with my family during Durga Pooja last year and again this year--it's that good! The rooms are modern, beautifully designed, and all have side-facing sea views. The restaurant is outstanding--the food is delicious, the chefs are excellent, and the service is warm, quick, and welcoming. Even if you're not staying at the hotel, I highly recommend visiting their restaurant. Truly a wonderful experience, two years in a row!
