This is a very beautiful and scenic resort. Rooms are spacious, staff friendly and courteous. Food is delicious and appetising. Breakfast prepared under the supervision of Shri Digal has variety and is delicious and service at breakfast by Ashok is worth a mention. I had wonderful jhalmuri at high tea accompanied by excellent service by Rishigautam. Worth staying. Excellent housekeeping and service by Prabhanjan and L.N. Das.
Wonderful experience we had during our stay. Hotel staff are incredibly welcoming. Must thank Mr. P.K. Adhikari from house keeping management . He is very helping and handled all our issues compassionately. I must thank Mr. Dinabandhu, Achyuta and Ms. Lilima, staff of both the restaurants two states and Verandah for their exceptional service during our stay. They are truly professional and should keep up their sprit.
2/5 Honest Feedback from a Loyal Guest I've always preferred Mayfair, especially Kanika, for its Odia cuisine -- something close to my heart. Being rooted in Odisha, I value authentic local flavors, but my recent visit to Mayfair Puri was disappointing. The food quality has dropped since my visit in April last year and the signature taste seems to be fading. We ordered three special thalis and one roti with santula -- while the staff were polite and service warm, my food (roti and santula) arrived after an hour, long after my family had finished eating. Mayfair has always had my loyalty, but with the current food standards, I'm not sure if I'll be coming back again or recommending it to anyone soon. I truly hope the team revives the authentic Odia touch that once made it stand out.
This hotel is a great hotel however there are some issues we had. Check in process:- we were not informed about check out time, afternoon tea/snacks , wifi codes Wifi was not working during our stay. Issue was not resolved during our stay. Despite phone call to manager. Check out time is at 9am. This is plainly unreasonable. How can check out time be at 9 when breakfast closes at 10:30am. Every other hotel on earth will have a later check out time. Completely out of order. Service is very good. Staff are attentive however lacking communication to try to resolves issues. Rooms are unfortunately outdated. Very old and tired. Needs refurbishing. Especially for price you pay. Stains on bed sheets. Sandals being given is very nice however sandals are not clean. Should be washed properly with give re-used items. Location is fantastic with clean beach access. Food is very very good! Overall, had very good positives but with some issues with outdated rooms with price you pay (everything does work).
