★★★★
Beautiful location by the golden sandy beach with no obstruction to the sea facing balconies (which we had). Rooms were glamorous and comfortable. Walk in shower, hot and cold shower and tea making facilities completes the first round.
While the hotel has a small pool towards the feont, there was no one in it at all. I reckon if it was in the backside then the uptake would have been better.
The elevator was really small, claustrophobic, and the stair cases though nice and wide had shiny tiles/ marbles on them with potential slip risk. You can access the beach easily from the hotel and the beach has lifeguards.
Overall, comfortable stay and recommended.

Jamindar's Palace - Beach Side Hotel is a hotel with a lot of potential, largely due to its excellent location. Situated right on the beach, it offers guests a great escape from the busier parts of Puri, and the sea-facing rooms provide a wonderful view and a serene atmosphere. The hotel's staff is generally courteous and the food quality is decent, with appreciable taste and variety.
However, the hotel falls into a middle ground where some aspects of the stay don't quite match up to the price point. A few areas, such as the maintenance of the swimming pool and some of the rooms, could be improved. The service can be slow at times and that the property could benefit from better overall upkeep. Overall, it's a good option for those prioritizing a great location and a peaceful beach experience, but it's not without its minor flaws.

WORST. HOTEL. EVER. - A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE at Jamindars Palace Puri
1/5 Stars (If I could give zero, I would.)
Jamindars Palace Puri is an absolute disgrace and a complete scam. Do not be fooled by their glossy online photos; this place is a dilapidated nightmare. Our stay was nothing short of a traumatic experience, and I impllore you to book anywhere else!
1. A Cramped, Filthy, and Broken Disaster
The room was in a TERRIBLE condition. We booked for three people, yet the space was so cramped, dark, and claustrophobic that it felt smaller than my home living room. It was unbelievably uncomfortable.
2. The cleanliness was non-existent. The floors were visibly dirty, the bathroom looked like it hadn't been scrubbed in ages, and the bedsheets seemed visibly used and unchanged--a truly disgusting start to our supposed vacation. To top it off, half the furniture was broken. Basic amenities like towels, tissue rolls, and toiletries were not provided; we had to beg the staff multiple times and still received nothing.
3. Noise, Heat, and Broken Utilities
The AC was a nightmare. It made such loud, irritating, grinding noises throughout the day and night that getting any peaceful rest or sleep was absolutely impossible. Compounding the issues, the telephone line was not working when we entered, and the lights also did not work even after multiple complaints. We were essentially left in a dark, noisy, and broken box.
4. Overpriced, Disgusting Food & Horrible Policies
Don't even get me started on the food. It was absolutely horrible in taste and poor in quality. The ultimate insult? They charge a bomb for tiny, minuscule portions that wouldn't even fill a child.
5. Furthermore, the common washroom in the restaurant is more dirty and untidy than public washrooms--a truly appalling reflection of their hygiene standards across the entire property.
6. Their policies are also incredibly inconvenient and inconsiderate. Check-out is ridiculously early at 8 AM. If your train or flight is later (ours was at 1 PM), there is no proper waiting area. They force you to sit at the tiny, non-AC reception, which has barely any seating. It was extremely uncomfortable and miserable in the oppressive Puri heat.
In summary, this palace is a poverty of hospitality. It's dirty, broken, noisy, and the staff couldn't care less. AVOID Jamindars Palace Puri at all costs. You deserve better, and your money is better spent literally anywhere else.

The property itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential. However, the front desk experience left much to be desired. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a noticeably cold and unwelcoming attitude--no smile, and a tone that suggested irritation or fatigue, which unfortunately set a negative tone for our stay.
That said, the service overall was good. The rooms were average--not bad, but nothing exceptional. We were disappointed to find the pool was not well-maintained and the spa was closed during our visit.
With such a stunning location, we believe that hiring more professional and welcoming front desk staff could significantly enhance the guest experience.

It was probably a Jamindar Palace once upon a time. Now it has lost its glory. It's skeleton exists. I had a lots of expectations when I booked it. They charged 6000rs for Sea view room. As soon I entered the hotel. The reception area is just like ordinary cheap hotel. Ac not working. Floor is dusty.
Rooms were poorly maintained.
Ac sensor has issue.
Breakfast is very average.
Pool is good.
Spa is pathetic.
They did swedish massage with amul coconut oil. After that I had itching whole body.
Location & view from balcony is good. . breakfast Staff were good.
Overall I was not at all happy with the money I paid. If the cost was 3000 -3500 rs. It makes sense.
