Jagannath Guest House

I am sharing my entire experience in every review. First the owner gourav mohanty who treats the customers like his own people then there is the one who understands all the hotel issues. He treats everyone like his own people. I stayed for 2 days in my room 205 I did not feel like I was in a hotel I felt like I was staying at my relative's house. all hotel staff behaviour like own people. The person who clean everything & rooms his family were completely behaved like their own people. My mother spend some beautiful time with his small baby daughter & blessed her .The room and toilet were very clean. I was impressed by the environment there and the place where I could take pictures was very clean. The hotel is 3 km from Sree Mandir and 300 m from Gundicha Temple. 200m from bus stand. Station 1.9 km near the guest house. There are problems the guest house placed at 3rd floor. I request Gaurav bhai to install an aqua guard there. I cut my review 4.8 remaining 0.2 because there is no aqua guard for many stairs.

Worst horrible place to stay. Bed is itching, rude worst behaviour of the staff and the owner is not rechable on phone. Did not get the booked room in spite of that other room was given which was not having attached bathroom. The staff didn't pick the luggage when asked to carry the luggage and the staff do not take responsibility for anything, they bluntly say speak to whom you spoke about room booking Could not do anything as it was 01:30am. Worst experience ever. Taking luggage to 3rd and 4th floor is a huge task without lift. Suggest not to go there. I am writing a review at around 4am after driving car for 10hrs. Not getting sleep as the bed is itching.

I will tell you the real experience. When we arrived at the guest house it was around 11:30 PM at night till then they waited for and calling us regularly so that we can reach to the proper address. I met the brother of Gaurav Mohanty and believe me that he was so friendly, down to earth and helpful so that you feel you are at your home. About the guest house: Room is well cleaned and large in size, bed and furniture are well arranged, Bathrood is also very clean and geyser is available for hot water. AC is also available. Many people tell about the negative point that the guest house is at the 3rd floor but believe me if young and not older than 60 then you can easily climb the stairs and you need not to worry about the luggage because staffs are available to carry your luggage to the 3rd floor. About the location: It is near the Puri central bus stand and near the railway station. And it is not much away from the jagannath temple, you just need to pay only 15 rupees to the auto wala. If you are comming with your family it is the best place to stay because I came with my whole family. Overall the guest house is 10/10.

Rooms are hygenic and clean, it was awesome experience, staffs were very cooperative, even at night cravings there was enough choice of food. Last but not a least the terrace view was amazing.

I am sharing the most genuine review even I am sure the owners must be waiting for it. We booked it for two days in the month of March and because they confirmed over call that it is actully a residence of owner we confirmed our booking as we had two small kids of just 1 yrs in case of emergency or anything we can expect there guidance or help so we booked this around 10 to 15 days prior. Oh god really ur was a disaster booking that so called guest house with literally everything zero. One day before they called and informed that the room is in 3rd floor with no lift facility . Next they just had one couple for house keeping who was an absolute nonsense person. He argued he misbehaved also he tried to physically hurt us when we asked for help as we can't go again and again to groud floor for every small thing. The owner they cooperated but didn't bother to arrange any housekeeping. We literally broomed there room...made our own bedding and all... Bathroom was not attached no person to take the luggage from 3 rd floor to groud floor. No fooding arrangement as they promised earlier but later said that the housekeeping use to bring and now they can't help.. That housekeeping was wearing banyan with lungi infront of all the ladies... Argued with me extremely bad because we asked him to bring water heating jar. Our trip because of that particular person and this nonsense stay was literally a mess. Dnt fall for the prices even 1000 is more for the kind of place and room they provide. All reviews are the paid ones I think because genuinely it has nothing which can be appreciated. Even I felt that they dnt have licence to run the guest house as outside it's only mentioned jagannath house not jagannath guest house...beware... I strong recommend no one to book this .... Never We should have filed a complain for this hotel as I can see how bluntly u are mentioning that we claim false or we behaved rude.. Tell me who started..??? If u misbehave with someone wife will the husband behave politely...my husband reacted when ur servant used inappropriate words for me. Next i should have taken a photo how your that so called staff was wearing half pant and lungi when he attended is at night around 10. We have broomed our own room and u still have the gut to reply this nonsense. As u informed one day before about the room at third floor have some truth in your soul before replying . Just to get clients proving a feedback false is unbearable. I should have only filed the complained about women harrasment about your staff. But because that time u people supported so we continued staying there with our infants in third floor. We are open if u take any legal action but be ready for the circumstances.
