Government Youth Hostel

The government's youth hostel in Puri near the sea beach is a fantastic initiative, but it's being taken for granted. With its beautiful lawns, soothing wave sounds, canteen, parking, and AC meeting hall, it's a great resource. However, the facilities need regular maintenance to sustain its quality. Let's appreciate this effort and ensure its longevity by taking care of it."

Very disappointing experience. First, I called and messaged them. They said rooms were available but told me to come in person to book. So I went all the way from Puri bus stand, only to find the place almost deserted -- no vehicles parked, and it didn't look like anyone was staying there, maybe because it was a few weeks after Rath Yatra. At the reception, there was just one old man, who went inside to ask someone else when we inquired about rooms. We had to wait a frustrating 30 minutes before he returned, only to say that no AC or non-AC rooms were available -- only dorms. We checked the dorms, but they were in poor condition and had no lockers, which felt very unsafe. I had to book a taxi again to go somewhere else. Really pathetic service. Not recommended at all.

My experience at this hostel was disappointing. The room was not properly cleaned, and the bed sheets looked old and stained. The bathroom facilities were in poor condition, with broken taps . The noise from other rooms and the street made it difficult to sleep, near to sea beach cost very expensive

The experience was wonderful ,a value for money hostel single bed solo and group 8 people with fans and 2 family rooms available which are very budget friendly and most of the time rooms are full . There are ac& non ac conference rooms available for meetings and get-togethers.overall very good hostel.

I called and confirmed Domitry on call they said it's available but when i walk all the way from station to location they denied. Very poor management.
