a year or two ago i would have rated them lower based on the equipment available, but with new purchases and maintenance, i'm happy to give them a 5. a lot of the gym equipment has been replaced, the sauna has been rebuilt, spas are new. the draw card for me has always been is it's warm being at the gym beside the pool. hate being cold. don't forget, check out wellington city council website to see if you can apply for a leisure card and get 20% off your membership.

I joinedClub Active a year ago. I didn't manage to get there due to really slack behaviour on my part. I was made redundant so emailed to cancel. The team there were so incredibly helpful and kind to me, even though I had acted out in an email response to one of the team members. They were understanding and empathetic - and once Im back on my feet again intend to join again and go - I feel I have missed some really cool connections. Thanks Club Active

Out of date and out of touch. Overpriced, poor service and supervision. Try Anytime Fitness if you want a good gym, well maintained, well managed and up to date, at same price. No stinky chlorine either. Excellent aircon.

Friendly staff, quality workout spaces and equipment, great harbour edge location and views. Pool and spa/sauna and gym, plus close by beach, cafes, cycleway.
