I recently upgraded to Vasa from Planet Fitness after my job switched locations, and the facilities are amazing. Everything is brand-new, the equipment is high-quality, and it even connects with my Apple Watch. The gym is clean, modern, and really enjoyable to use. That said, I deducted a star because I was under the impression they offered cycle classes, but they don't. I started my membership in September with first month free. I'm not sure how my membership payment is $105 in November.

I was lied to and mislead the entire time I dealt with Vasa Fitness. When I signed up I was told by all 3 people I spoke with that there was a special deal where you get your first 4 personal training sessions free with a 6 month contract and the first bill would be in November. When I got the information it said the first bill was in October and when I asked the trainer he said he was sorry I got misinformation and that I would get 4 extra sessions but the charges would start right away and that I would need to put a freeze on my training account to get the first 4 weeks free like were promised I also was VERY clear that I wanted to learn to swim with my training sessions and the trainer agreed to do swim lessons with me.I paid 15.00 to Freeze my account on training to get the free training sessions I was promised and this is what happened.Session One : I got my personal training session but my trainer did not even get in the pool with me to teach a swim lesson. He taught from the side of the pool.Session Two : Trainer taught from the side of the pool again and session was stopped 15 minutes early because a instructor named JJ wanted the entire pool for a group class and would not let the trainer fininsh with me in an open lane!!Then I was told I was only get 1 more free session not 2 more which was left of the four. I liked my personal trainer but I hate the fact that I was lied to many times by vasa fitness and I believe how I was treated was totally unacceptable

Great gym environment and staff. Absolutely love the friendships I've made with instructors from Studio Red, especially Jacob and JJ. I can not recommend Abby enough, she's an amazing trainer that's pushed me far beyond what I thought were my limits!

I am generally satisfied with the gym, but the situation in the sauna is really problematic. Many visitors go inside with regular clothes and even shoes. This is unhygienic, unpleasant, and against the normal sauna rules. The last time I entered the sauna, it smelled strongly of plastic - obviously from clothing and shoes that do not belong there. This is not only disturbing but can also lead to health risks. I really hope the gym takes this seriously and makes sure people follow the rules so that the sauna can once again be a place of relaxation and health. Basic Sauna Rules: * Enter the sauna without clothes or shoes (only with a towel or proper swimwear made for saunas). * Shower and dry off before going in. * Always sit or lie on a towel so sweat does not get on the benches. * Keep a quiet and calm atmosphere (no loud conversations or phones). * Do not enter with strong perfume, deodorant, or creams. * After the sauna, cool down with a shower and take some rest.

I am very dissatisfied with VASA. I froze my personal training for three months, and last month I downgraded my membership. I was told my personal training by membership will be frozen for 90 days (which is till October 8th), but today (October 1st) I found out that my freeze was apparently removed without any notification. Because of this, I was charged for two weeks of training sessions I never scheduled or used. When I called, I was told the freeze was automatically removed when I downgraded my package, but no one informed me of this. Instead of helping me, I was told I could not get a refund and that I would have to contact a personal trainer to use the sessions--something I don't even have the time for. This feels dishonest and very frustrating. If I had known, I never would have agreed to downgrade. The lack of communication and transparency is unacceptable. I would give this gym zero stars if I could. I definitely won't be returning and do not recommend VASA to anyone.
