Cult Prabhadevi is a clean and well-maintained gym with a good overall atmosphere for training. The equipment is in decent condition, making it a comfortable place to work out.
Training with Shamshad has been highly effective and enjoyable for me. He is knowledgeable and supportive, and he consistently pushes me in a productive way. With his guidance, I have stayed consistent and focused, and have already lost 11 kg.
There are a couple of small issues, like the music sometimes being too loud and the water filter having an odor, but overall the experience has been very positive.
If you are looking for a good place to train, I recommend Cult Prabhadevi--and especially working with Shamshad.

When I first joined Cult Prabhadevi, I had little to no experience with fitness or exercise. I signed up with Samshad and he has completely changed my outlook towards health and fitness. He's the kind of trainer who not only encourages and motivates you but also pushes you to test your limits, always with the right focus on safety and technique.
What I appreciate most is that he doesn't just stop at workouts; he also checks in on diet and overall progress, making sure you stay on track. The gym itself is really nice, clean and well-equipped which makes every session even better. Cult is the only gym I've consistently stuck with, and a big reason for that is my trainer, Sam. He has helped me build strength and discipline through well-planned workouts that are both challenging and enjoyable. He's also very flexible when it comes to time switches, which makes training easy to manage with a busy schedule. Update:
I wrote the original review 2 months prior. Back then, Sam had helped me get into the grove of working out and I had started looking forward to our sessions but had yet to see any significant gains in my physique. Sensing that I had finally overcome my lethargy and that was finally ready to start putting in more effort, Samshad ramped up my workout regimen. He helped me formulate a diet plan that would seriously cut down carbs. As a result, I have lost around 7 Kgs and by body fat percent is down to 26% from 33%. I am still quite a ways away from my goal of reaching 72 Kgs and less than 20% fat, but now reaching there is just matter of "when" and not "if" and it feels great. This update comes on the heels of a recent family get together where everyone noticed my transformation and were thrilled.

After years of struggling to find a fitness routine that sticks, I believe I've finally found the answer in Cult.fit thanks to @Samshad Shaikh. Let me explain.
As someone in my early to mid-thirties, with a history of being active in my youth but losing that habit in my twenties due to frequent travel and a demanding lifestyle (and thereby slowly gaining around 20kgs), I've tried it all. I have tried gyms and trainers all around the world from Bangalore to Seattle to Pittsburgh to Los Angeles. All of them provided excellent equipment but lacked the personal touch. These trainers pushed me to a point where I ended up doubting my ability to improve myself. So I quit.
As someone who typically finds the easy way out, it was nothing if not natural that I would have stopped going to Cult Prabhadevi if Samshad would have pushed me towards just achieving the numerical goal aka lose X amount of weight in Y amount of time (like every other trainer I have had in the past). But instead he from day one focused on making sure that I get in the groove and that I don't view the one hour I spend with him as a chore or a punishment for me being overweight but as something where both of us are focusing towards gradually increasing my overall health and strength.
If I am honest, Samshad has been training me for the past 3 months and I haven't lose weight (I am the black sheep but that's on me and my affinity towards junk food). But I can say one thing, I did lose a few percentage points on my body fat and gain a few on muscle mass. But better yet, I am no longer afraid of working out. In fact, I now look forward to the sessions I have with him and that's huge progress.
I know he has helped a lot of people lose 5-10 kgs in a span of a few months. I am not one of them. But I know I am amongst all his students within whom he has instilled a sense of self confidence that given enough time, I too can achieve it. Please wish me luck so I too can make it happen sooner rather than later. And I think I can do it. Well placed hope is an insane drug.
Being healthy is a long journey and Shamshad somehow got my stubborn ass to realize it.
I am still travel frequently for work and I still find it difficult to find time to workout but for some reason the old excuses to skip no longer make sense for me.
