So, I booked this hotel through Agoda. I thought it was a good deal, especially after reading the positive reviews. However, my experience was far from satisfactory.
When I arrived, I met someone - I'm not sure if it was the owner, manager, or staff - but they didn't seem interested in addressing my concerns or offering proper service. My check-in time was 2 PM, but I arrived early at 12 noon due to my travel schedule. I politely asked if it was possible to check in early. The person mentioned they would check if the rooms were tidy and clean, then left without any further communication.
While waiting, I noticed a staff member cleaning multiple rooms. Naturally, I assumed one of them was being prepared for me. However, after finishing the cleaning, the staff member started roaming around aimlessly instead of informing me about my room. When I asked if my room was ready, he said the manager hadn't informed him.
This was surprising because I had spoken to the manager in front of this very staff member earlier. The manager had told me he would check if the room was ready but left immediately after saying so, without informing his team. This lack of communication between the staff and management was extremely frustrating.
The staff eventually called the manager, who asked for my name and booking details and said the room might be ready by 2 PM. At this point, I insisted that the room be made available immediately. Shortly after, I was given the key, but the situation didn't improve.
The room I received had been locked the entire time and hadn't been cleaned. The ceiling fan was covered in mold and dust, and there was hair everywhere - on the floor, on the bed, and even in the bathtub. It was clear that the room hadn't been prepared after the previous guest's stay.
To make matters worse, the dining table was placed right outside my room. Throughout the night, there was constant noise from people talking and gathering there. I couldn't sleep because of this, as the noise continued until morning.
Note: To all those planning to stay here, I strongly recommend ignoring this place and choosing a better hotel. This property is not suitable for families or anyone else. I've never encountered such an unprofessional and disrespectful team.

Best place in Varkala for long term stays! I stayed here for a month! The location is perfect, 5 min to the beach, and the housekeeping staff at the moment is soo warm! You'll feel like you're at home! Its a true homestay property

I ended up staying a whole month at Sadva Retreat because I loved it so much. The place is super peaceful, surrounded by greenery, really clean and well maintained. You can tell it's been recently renovated with care, and the vibe is just right - calm, simple, and welcoming.
There's a yoga shala where you can practice in a quiet, natural setting, and several outdoor chill spots, including a big table where you can eat, work, or just hang out. The temple is literally next door (you can hear the chants, it's beautiful), there are small local shops around, and the beach is just a short walk away.
It's a perfect spot if you're looking for a relaxing and green place to slow down and recharge in Varkala. Highly recommended!

Wonderful place for Yoga and meditation. The inner feelings are healed up here. The best thing I found here is you are connected with your soul as the place is too positive with lots of greenery. Directly connected with nature.
