Pathetic experience! The hotel's maintenance is extremely poor. The rooms have cracked, fungus-infected, and unpainted walls. Lizards can be seen all over the room and even in the washroom. Basic facilities like the TV don't work, there's no telephone to contact the reception, the lighting near the dressing area is inadequate, and the washroom has only one dim light. The pool is just about okay. The complimentary breakfast also needs major improvement. For 8,000 per night, facing such issues makes the stay completely unworthy of the price. The resort's website paints a very different picture -- the reality is far from what's shown online. One good thing is the Staffs were friendly.. I feel the property is a splendid one with sea facing... The management can look into it and do the appropriate maintenance... it would be great fir people to have a wonderful stay at Ashokam.
