The gym has new and old both equipment....but it has been not maintained properly...

Hi I'm not like fitness freak just for the sake of my friends I joined here for gym and Now i am more regular then my friends , I'm a obese person, Now with the guidance and support from Asif sir I'm going to transform my lifestyle and habits, And with the support of Sada a trainer doing workouts very well. There is regular sessions and workshops for free about fitness from Asif sir and team. Pro's of gym : It's well equipped with for every requirements of each individual goals be it Athletic, Strength or shred the fat for which I'm enrolled for, It's hygienic, clean gym with the facility like locker room, washroom and steam bath, most importantly there are group of qualified trainers who personally get to know about you and push you to the right way, It's a hard workout with happy people! And I am seeing results for sure.

Our take on this gym, called Torso. To tell you the truth, there is nothing special about this gym. It's as ordinary and riddled with issues as one can think of. Having known the present owner, when he was employed in Extreme gym, he invited us to join his gym and it was purely on his word that we decided to join. We, however had one simple, logical condition and that was to keep the Music sound ( decibels) at the safe and as recommended by laws framed by sound pollution authorities. He assured us profusely and vehemently that he would make sure that the sound limit would be maintained. In the beginning he showed great interest and would 'attempt' to keep the music down. Must mention that for some reason the level of music in gyms is staggeringly over 100 plus decibels. It is a literal shock for someone who enters the gym arena. One is hit like a tornado. And instead of feeling like a place where one chooses to visit so as to improve one's fitness and physical health one can't help but get the feeling that one is in the wrong place. You cannot hear anyone or anything except the freaking blasting music of the modern era. It's crazy to say the least. We can understand if it's a party setting, a rock show or a dance or disco place (which we also love to attend sometimes). Then one is mentally prepared and is in attendance by choice. But for a place of wellbeing and health this kind of atmosphere is nothing but an inversion of health and no sensitivity due to lack of knowledge about the hazards of being exposed to loud noise/ music on a regular basis. Just like other pollutants, sound pollution is as deadly as any other. The owner kept assuring us that he will do something. He even put up a notice highlighting the recommended levels of decibel, but the music level never came down. Everyday it was a constant battle to wrestle verbally with members who turned up the volume as they wished and none of the trainers did anything about it. In fact it was more the trainers who wanted loud music in the first place. A point to note is that the owner suffers from Tinnitus. Tinnitus is when a person has a perpetual ringing sound in the ears. Tinnitus is commonly described as a ringing sound. It is the perception of sound that does not have an external source, so other people cannot hear it. Exposure to loud music is the primary cause. As the months passed by the sound situation got worse. Even when he suggested that I should come to the gym after 11.00 for a silent and calm atmosphere which I did ,it was the same constant battle with turning down the music and this time it was the trainers who train during this time who were the culprits along with some members too. So, when I kept bringing this issue up, he made a U-turn and in no uncertain terms told me that nothing can be done. Not even keeping it in the stipulated levels. He calls it the "Culture" of his gym. We then understood that all his promises were just to get in new members offering fake promises. So we quit the gym. Why should one pay to be subjected to sound pollution and its hazards. Time to move on. We are told that he is a graduate of the famous K11 School of Fitness Science, Pune founded by the indomitable spirit of the late Kaizad Capadia. But that is where it ends. I don't see any K11 protocols being followed in the gym by him or the trainers. The trainers lack communication skills too. After 10.30 am the AC is turned off and it is a challenge to get the cleaner to clean machines for use. As the trainers at this time are doing their workouts no spotter is available. Cleanliness gets 1 point. There is always some problem with the water supply. When questioned, there is always an excuse. And now with his expansion plan he has introduced new machines all made in China,all cramped into the same space, which has made the place too crowded and packed to capacity especially in the morning. The only plus side to the gym is that it has Cybex machines which were part of the earlier Gold Gym. Our experience with Torso Gym - "depressing" nor supporting fitness at all.

Large, well equipped Gym. Hygiene well maintained with good Air circulation. Good number of trainers to guide in exercise Definitely one of the best gym.
