VASA Fitness

VASA Fitness has been an awesome place to work out. The gym is as clean as a commercial gym can be, the equipment is well-maintained, and there's a great variety whether you're into lifting, cardio, or classes. The staff is super friendly and always smiling. I also really appreciate the atmosphere--it's motivating without being intimidating. The amenities like group classes, sauna, and basketball courts are a big plus. The ONLY thing its missing is a cold plunge! How can we get corporate to make that happen!? Overall, it's a great value for the price and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a supportive and affordable fitness center.

My regular gym for a long time. Good quality and variety of machines, plenty of free weight stations if you're there at 4am. I lift, tan, and use the wet and dry saunas regularly. The staff is usually friendly and surprisingly warm so early in the morning. It's way too crowded any time after 6am to guarantee you'll be able to do what you need to. They often forget to turn on the dry sauna in the morning, and their single tanning booth tends to be down for weeks at a time. The app that VASA uses is less than great. Luckily, you'll probably only need it to scan your barcode as you check in. You will also be charged a larger fee every year to keep your monthly charge at what you originally agreed to (instead of just grandfathering people in when fees change). If you forget they do that and don't have money, it could be really bad. I saw another review that reminded me the manager is very rude, and I agree. He also flat-out lied to me about the resolution to my problem. Don't expect any resolutions if you have problems here. It sounds like he's always completely uncooperative. Overall, 3 stars, it's okay. Edit: dropped a star for the copy/paste response.

We have been members of Vasa for many years. When they opened here they were a top notch gym. Lots of options for working out and very clean. I feel they have let their customers down now. Every time we go now there are broken and torn machines. There is not the equipment available that they had in the past because it doesn't get fixed in a timely manner. This equipment is either broken or it no longer exists. I can never find any bands or jump ropes anymore. I'm very disappointed that the administration has not kept this gym up to the standards they had at the beginning

Overall, the experience has been going downhill fast. The urinals in the men's bathroom are all down and covered in trash bags, making it hard to use the bathroom with only 3 stalls.... alot of the equipment is breaking down faster than it's getting fixed.... the water fountains taste terrible and now only 1 is functional. Why are we paying the prices for these memberships if nothing is getting fixed? Several treadmills are missing cupholders and barely work when using them.. They really need to step their game up, otherwise we are forced to go elsewhere.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The worst gym I've ever been to! Planet fitness is a better alternative. They charged me a 25.00 "late fee" because my card "decline" the amount but still went through & got paid the same day. I called to figure out if there's a way we can refund that since the amount was paid the day of & the manager was rude & awful! This is my first month with the gym & I absolutely HATE it. Don't recommend. The only pro to this gym is the daycare. UPDATE: 10/11/2025 I spoke to a manager Shaylee L & told her what happened prior! Not only did she call customer service for me , she was able to refund me as well! Thank you!
