I found out about Roar on Instagram and made an appointment for consultation. When I arrived, I was greeted by the lovely Roar team at the reception and then consulted by the owner and Olympian Sarah! She was very kind with giving me all the answers and information that I needed. I was very impressed by all the transformations that the clients have achieved and I wanted to get back in shape so I've decided to sign up Then I had an assessment with Sam who is helping me with my nutrition and checks on the development that I've made since the start. It's my third week training 3 times a week with my amazing trainer Jack. He keeps pushing me and motivating me on every session ! He is very professional and makes every training session productive and enjoyable! I can say it's the first time in years that I've started to enjoy going to the gym! From limping to squatting -- and loving every second of it! When I first joined Roar Dubai, I was 7 weeks post knee surgery, terrified of making a mistake. Only those who've been through it can understand the fear of going through it all over again. I was still walking carefully, dealing with on-and-off pain, and had zero experience with weight training. Honestly, gym equipment looked to me like a bunch of boring metal torture devices. Week by week, rep by rep, Sam worked his magic. Not only did he rebuild my strength, but he completely changed the way I see fitness. By the end of the program, you should've seen the squats I was doing! I went from rehab mode to squat master and seated-knee-extension queen -- look at that! We trained hard. We laughed harder. We didn't just burn calories -- we torched old limits. The fat cried! I didn't even notice how fast the sessions flew by... until suddenly, it was the end of my journey. Sam managed both my training and my nutrition with such dedication, care, and that signature dry wit that somehow gets you to push for a final rep even when you feel like giving up. He educated me on nutrition, body fluctuations, and the female body -- helping me stay grounded and resilient, especially when the scale didn't move. Most of all -- he made me feel strong. Safe. Capable. Able to rely on my knee again. And excited to see how much more I could lift next time. Thank you, Sam -- for always being there for me. Truly, thank you for everything. He's amazing at correcting form in a way that's clear and encouraging, and it's made a huge difference in how I train and feel. Every session is well thought out and challenging in the best way, and I'm already seeing incredible results. I feel stronger, more confident, and excited for every workout. Even outside of the gym you get constant check ins to ensure you're following through and keeping accountable.
