I was unintentionally part of an organisation called VIHANGAM YOGA since my birth because my parents and my grandparents (nana -nani) had been practising vihangam yoga sadhna. Therefore, since my birth I was surrounded by the energy of spirituality. I didn't know then how lucky I was to be born in such a family! Since my childhood, I used to participate in Hawan Yagyas and Satsangs along with my parents and also attend various programs with them. At the age of 7 years, I learnt the first stage of meditation. At that age, I didn't understand much as to what meditation really meant. But starting at such an early age definitely help me build a good foundation and over the years, doing meditation became a part of my daily practice. Today I am 27 years old and everyday I feel so grateful and blessed for being born in such a family where I could be part of VIHANGAM YOGA since my childhood. So, you might thing what is so special about Vihangam Yoga? At all ages, we seek a teacher, a guru to achieve various things- for our education, for learning any kind of skills be it yoga, singing, dancing or cooking. Whenever we think of learning something new, our first thought is to find a good teacher, in-fact the best teacher- who would teach us the inside-out of that thing. So, when we set onto a spiritual journey- which is all about learning about OURSELVES- then also we need a good teacher, a guru. In fact, it is very easy to learn about the external things as compared to learning about our own self. Therefore, in spiritual journey, it is imperative to have the BEST GURU and that is what Vihangam Yoga gave me. Being part of Vihangam Yoga, I am a shishya, a disciple of the Best Guru, Sadguru- Swami Sadafal Dev Ji Maharaj. Vihangam Yoga was established by Swami Sadafal Dev Ji Maharaj in the year 1924 where we learn meditation in 5 stages. Today whatever I am in my life and whoever I am as a person, it is all because of the guidance, light, energy and blessings of my Sadguru! I cannot describe in words how blessed I feel everyday for being his disciple. Just like it is impossible to tell a person who has never had a gulab jamun, how sweet it is; it would be impossible for me to describe how surreal and peaceful it feels to practice meditation every day under the guidance and blessings of my Sadguru
